My plans as always with the Dour Festival contain for about threequarters of the time walking around with a beer scouting out names I’ve never heard of but might be nice to check. Het beste van gisteren op Vrijwazig. Zo ook deze band waar ondergetekende zo tussen five elements of hiphop en Venetian Snares op stond te spacen!

Aan de editie 2007 heb ik nog warme herinneringen zoals menigeen wel zal beamen. Toen vooral met de supervette nacht Autreche – Venetian Snares – Otto von Schirach.

Sinds gister zijn de eerste voorzichtige namen bekend gemaakt: Venetian Snares, Digitalism en wat hipperdehop:

Mix Master Mike (van de Beastie Boys), DJ Muggs (van Cypress Hill), DJ JS-1 en Mr. Wiggles (van Rock Steady Crew) en Rahzel zullen in een vijf-uur durende show de volgende hiphopelementen tentoonstellen: Rap, beatbox, breakdance, graffiti en dj-ing. Ook IAM uit Marseille zal naar Dour komen.

180 acts, 4 dagen, 16-19 juli, 100 euro incl. camping. Ik heb nog twee plekkies over, wie durft?
